Hi,
Can anyone tell me if I need to break a stack of switches in order to update from firmware V5.0.0.23 to V5.2.0.11 or is this only necessary from V3.x.x.x.
Thanks

Hi Jimmy,
Welcome to NETGEAR community!
We need to break the stack and upgrade every unit one by one.
I'm sorry about that.
As you know the GS748TS is very old platform stackable switches that has been EOL.
Please be careful reference below guide when do upgrade operation.
How to upgrade GS724TPS-GS748TPS-GS724TS-and-GS748TS-Firmware-Version-5-2-0-11
We have no need to break stack when upgrade on our new stackable switches.
Such as:
S3300 series witches
May the solution help you.
