To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support process. Keep in mind that its only free for the first 90 days.- Marv21Guide

You're caught in a catch 22.
If the device is truly a hardware failure, it doesn't cost (they refund the fee, ask up front).
If they troubleshoot with you (costs up front), and it turns out to be a setting, user error, wiring error, then it does cost money as their phone support is only free for 90 days.
So if you're sure its a hardware failure, contact them. they have you do a basic power on test from the start. If it passes the power on test, then it costs for further troubleshooting. Again, if you're sure its a hardware failure, get them agree at the start to refund the fee if it does indeed turn out to be hardware related.
(half the reason for the forum is to troubleshoot before needing to contact support)
