Mixing powerline max Mbit/s adapters
Can I mix adapters of different max speeds?
The "base" unit is a XAV5001 (max 500Mbit/s), the first room has a XAV5004 (max 500Mbit/s), I want to put the WNXR2000 (max 300Mbit/s) in the third room.
Will the speed of the ENTIRE 'network' run at the "lowest" max speed or will the XAV5004 still run at 500Mbit/s and the WNXR2000 run at 300Mbit/s?
Thanks!

Re: Mixing powerline max Mbit/s adapters
think twice. main line is 500 between A-B point , wnr2000's WAN is 100Mbps, and wireless is 300Mbps.
wifi connected at 300 ONLY goes high as 100Mbps transfer rate to A.
Any wifi devices connected to wnr2000 and communicating within those wifi connected wnr2000 will transfer file at up to 300Mbps

Re: Mixing powerline max Mbit/s adapters
Thank you June for the prompt reply.
So if I understand correctly the WNR2000 actually has a lower powerline Mbps than I thought (only 100Mbps) the 300Mbps refers to the wifi connection. But will be maxed at 100 via this connection.
Thanks again.

Re: Mixing powerline max Mbit/s adapters
WAN is 100Mbps so it will go only fast as spec on router even power line can do 500Mbps.

Re: Mixing powerline max Mbit/s adapters
I should have said WAN and LAN is 100Mbps.
You need to setup WNR2000 AP for correct setup http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/965
