Please spread the work about ReadyCloud's upcoming demise.

We continue to have users log in here that are completely surprised that ReadyCloud is going down in the near future.  I don't know what method Netgear has used thus far to announce it, but it's clearly insufficient.  Many users found the ReadyNAS line and ReadyCloud or ReadyCloud on a Netgear router to be an easy solution for at-home work in the pandemic.  And many (most?) have continued to use it even as work-from-home is reduced.  Some have used it for far longer.  Netgear's short-sighted decision to pull the carpet from under them needs to be put out there where all will see it. Migrating to another solution isn't something that can be done overnight, but users will have no choice if not given sufficient notice. To make matters worse, it appears that the most knowledgeable Netgear reps here on the forum are all gone, leaving assisting those users to those of us who do so voluntarily.

When folks try to use ReadyCloud the first day it's gone, the onslaught here and to Netgear directly will be tremendous, but maybe it can be reduced by making it better known.

Other forum users: Please help get the word out via social media or other means.

Netgear: Do something!! You are already going to get blasted for doing this, and I would not be surprised if many users (and that includes companies) put Netgear on their permanent blacklist for all products for fear of similar abandonment on those.  If you aren't going to offer them an alternative, then at least make them aware that they need to find one on their own.  If you don't, the backlash is going to be that much worse.
