Mac User and permissions on Nas
Hello !
I've been looking about my issue on the internet and I couldn't find a single topic about it.
Here's the topic :
We have a couple mac users in our enterprise, those mac are using Active Directory accounts.
We manage our Nas by giving rights / permissions via those Active directory accounts.
For the past month, one of our mac users complained about permissions on their data, I've been looking on Active directory, on their profiles, and everything is right.
Checked on the nas perms, same, everything is right.
So I've connected the user profile on a test PC to see if the problems comes from Active directory perms or not, result says that on PC everything is fine, she can open any files / directory on it.
(Quick info when we test things on her Mac, she can open the main directory which contains everything in it, then when we go further in any file, the mac shows a little icon that says "No permission", and this applies everywhere, except main directory)
At this point I don't know where to look at, if anyone has some tips or encountered this problem I'd gladly listen carefully about it !
Thanks in advance.

Are the Macs using SMB? Or are they using AFP or NFS?
Is the user able to open some files/folders? Or is she unable to access anything?

Hi there !
Thanks for the fast reply.
They're using SMB, and to describe what she can open :
First main directory is called COM, COM contains every other data / files / directory in it, after opening COM she still has permissions to do things ONLY on COM, and then after opening any other directory in COM she lose permissions she had previously.
I don't know if I describe it well enough.

Have you tried resetting the file permissions for the share? (using the reset control on the bottom left of the file access tab in the share settings),
That will re-apply the settings you are using recursively on every file and folder. You'll get a notification when it completes.
