New Backup job -- just defined.  Other jobs for the same Unit work.

Fails almost instantly -- more than adequate capacity available.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks -- no I did not set it up for read/write. 

Aside from thanks and kudos to you there , I believe, should be some change to this scenario -- better documentation, more specific error message, something.

The sender has no idea why the receiver refused the transfer, and it's not unique to ReadyNAS.  There could be an error log somewhere on the destination that says why.  But you got it figured out, which is the main thing.
