NOT ABLE TO LOGIN TO PHPMYADMIN PLUGIN
Hi to all,
we bought a PHP5.3.19 x86 plugin and also phpMyAdmin 3.4.10;
I installed both correctly without any alerting or error;
but now I have a problem trying to configure correctly phpMyAdmin access to the MySql server;
I tried to set (case01a/b.jpg):
- Server hostname: 192.168.1.161 (the readynas assigne IP)
- Authentication type: I keep the default one = cookie
- User for config auth: I kept the default root
Then I saved it and I went to phpMyAdmin Iogin page.
I tried with root / netgear1 and I got a #2002 error
I tried with root / <empty password> and it said that empty password is not possible by configuration

I tried also adding to change to config authorization type (case02 images):

but saving the parameters I got the error on case02-error.jpg.

so I removed the "server registration" and I created a "New server" definition with the same parameters on case02.jpg
If I try to login to phpMyAdmin I get again a #2002 error and if I edit the server definition I see the error in case02-edit.jpg

Please help me bacause I'm stalled in this situation and I can't setup my php app on my readynas.
thanks in advance.

- gibxxiGuideThere is an installation guide for Phpmyadmin here: http://readynasxtras.com/readynas-x86-a ... yadmin-x86
You may need to enable SSH on your nas and alter the my.cnf file, as by default the MySQL server installed on the NAS (Seperate entity from the PHPmyadmin add-on) only allows connections from the "localhost", i.e: apps running on the NAS itself. So logging in from your browser will fail. Also, I think the "login as root" is disabled by default too, but you may have already changed this. I must admit, I only scanned through your post.
This issue has come up before, i'd look in the "General Chat on ReadyNAS Add-ons" forum, as I know there is a thread concerning this very topic, because i've posted in it!
EDIT: Enable the "Connect Without Password" option temporarily ought to work for the root user. Create a NEW super-user (different username, same priviledges as root, if that's what you require), then disable this setting. Don't change or add a password for the root user, as this will cause ReadyNAS Photos II to fail to work, if you use that Application. - gibxxiGuideYou do know that phpmyadmin is solely for administering a MySQL database and NOT for allowing PHP add-ons to work don't you?
- magostoniAspirantHi guys,
I solved it!!
I simply missed to install MySqlON plugin.
I installed it, and all worked!
thank you again for your time - gibxxiGuideEither that, or enable ReadyNAS Photos II. Both do the same thing. Obviously, if your not using ReadyNAS Photos II disregard my comment. But don't use MySQLON and ReadyNAS Photos II at the same time.
