phpmyadmin add-on which username and password ?

first (the pop up) should be : admin with nas admin password
and the second (on phpmyadmin page) ; root without password

but if you do not have readynasphoto running you should install mysqlon addon to activate mysql :)

sinon, c'est exactement cela, j'ai la page de phpmyadmin, et quelque soit le mot de passe/login rien ne passe
il me ressort #1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I too am having a similar issue with my Duo. None of the credentials I provide will give me access.

I encounter the same trouble (with a Duo)... Even if I log on with the admin login to the popup, when I try root with no passwd on the phpmyadmin login page, an error message appears :

La configuration interdit une connexion sans mot de passe (voir AllowNoPassword)

I'm stuck... Any idea?

My basic GSCE French and what I've stumbled across elsewhere leads me to think you needto add a line to one of your config files allowing "nopassword".
Reckon a search around that might see you right...

Well, I have added this line to my /webroot/phpadm/config.inc.php file :

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = true;

But this does not solve my problem... Now, the error message is the following :

#2002 Connection to the MySQL server not allowed

I keep investigating with smile on my lips =)

I finally have it functional. I modified this line into /etc/mysql/my.cnf :

mysql.default_sockets = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock

I have found that using a custom toto.php file, that embedded some mysql commands, the output told that default socket was /tmp/mysqld.sock which is wrong :D

I hope this will help some guys that encountered the same problem I have faced !

unfortunately I don't have a file called mysqld.sock anywhere...

I had php5 installed, installation of phpmyadmin went fine also. Tried following the instructions (create database on the phpmyadmin setup page ) but when I want to go to phpmyadmin I get the same error.

Got a utra nas with latest radiotor and:
PHP5_5.3.8-rnx86-1.4.1.bin
PhpMyAdmin_3.4.4-rnx86-1.2.7.bin

allready tried setting nopassword to true and allownopassword to true but still no luck...
