FTP Protocol and AD-Permission

Hey

I am using my ReadyNas within an Active Directory environment.

I have set the authentification to the AD and the import was done correct.

Then I have created a new share with SMB + FTP Enabled.

On the FTP page the "everyone" has readonly permission.

Now I try to add an AD User with read/write permission the the FTP side. I can add it without a problem. But after saving, the AD User disappears from the security overview.

What am I doing wrong!? - Any tips for me?

THX a lot

  • THX - Found the issue by myself.

The problem was, that in the FTP Service I set anonymous as authentication mode.

After changing it to user, I was allowed to add a user.

Would be cool, when there is an information about this.

    THX
