Looks like it should be stored in
/var/lib/clamav
However, there is nothing in the directory by default so I am not sure if there is a needed directory structure below that or just dropping the files into that directory will be sufficient.

Maybe just use find to locate those specific files?

Since the machine has never been connected to the internet there is nothing in the directory.
If there is someone out there running the AV software on the system, it would be great to know if that specific location is where it stores them.
Thanks!!!

I briefely turned AV on and then off again.
/lib/var/clamav looks like this:
root@NAS:/var/lib/clamav# ls antivir.ini clamav-35a5b708de51546b068232d2c24da07d.tmp main.cvd bytecode.cld daily.cvd mirrors.dat

I'll try downloading the most recent versions from the clamav website, drop them in there and see if that results in a working AV set. I will post back my results in case someone else wants to use one of these machines on an air-gapped network.
