Stora Connection direct to PC

Just unboxed the stora have no ADSL internet only 3G modem.

i want to connect the Stora to my PC via straight (or should it be crossover)ethernet cable?

how do i configure the IP of the stora before following the steps for registration to allow the stora to see the internet via my 3G modem.
