Is firmware version 1.0.11.106 better than 1.0.10.9?
I received an e-mail from Netgear saying I should upgrade my router to version 1.0.11.106, however when I check my router configuration (either via Netgear Genie or logging directly into http://192.168.1.1/), the Netgear router interface tells me that version 1.0.10.9 is the latest version, not 1.0.11.106. Is that true?
Thanks.

New firmware can take time to land on the FTP server that supports the built-in check.
In any case, experienced users like to do a manual update rather than the automated process. Safer and less like to break the router if the wifi falls over.
