JGS516PE - how to configure a port with no internet access for NAS

i have a PROSAFE swtich JGS516PE and would like some instructions on how to configure a port to take the nas off the internet only allowing access to those who are on the local network. ive read that this can be anchieved throuhg VLAN setup just cannot find a step by step instruction to walk me through. any help will be great.

    Well, another 802.11q VLAN makes a different, independent network - this would require some router able to serve more than one subnet, run a DHCP service for this subnet, do routing, ... further on you might loose the ability to simply browser the NAS, because a different network means a different broadcast domain (so no more simple NetBIOS name discovery and name resolution [still the de-facto standard on many NAS]), no UPnP SSDP to make the NAS visible, ...

     

    So not fully sure what you might have read...

     

    Certainly the better point would be to prohibit the Internet access for the NAS (or it's LAN IP - which must be reserved in DHCP or fixed of course) - would be your Internet router.
