CPU in the RN428
In the datasheet for the RN428 it says that the CPU is a "quad core" Atom C3000. However, Intel doesn't list a C3000. But, they do list several C3xxx models that are quad cores (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/details/processors/atom/c/products.html).

There are several sources that list this CPU model for the RN426.
The hardware manual says from the 428 product pages says:

The ReadyNAS 428 storage system meets the following technical specifications: General:
• Intel Atom C3538 Quad Core Processor, 2.1 GHz
Thanks! I just picked one up on eBay and was curious. I hope to get it soon, but the FedEx driver forged my signature & and I can't find the package. FedEx it "tracing" it...
