Can I run in AD mode and still have remote user access.
Hi.
I am considering a ReadyNAS as a replacement for a Buffalo unit we have. I want to run it in AD mode for local users but I also want some users to be able to access the unit with ReadyNAS Remote when they are out and about.
Therefore I wonder if someone can tell me,
1. Can the unit actually be put into AD mode and still allow remote user access using ReadyNAS remote?
2. If it can, do I have to create a remote user account for each user that I want to give remote access to or can they provide their local credentials even when they are remote?
3. If a share has permissions controlled by AD, can that same share still be available to remote users?
Or am I just trying to do something which is not supported?
Thank you very much for any comments/suggestions.
