Do you mean 192.162.162.162 or 192.168.168.168? It should be 192.168.168.168.
I am guessing that you changed your NAS connection from using your router to directly connecting it to the new mac.
The simplest fix is to connect the NAS to the router.
If you really want a direct connect, you will need to set up the ethernet connection on the mac to use a static address (for instance 192.168.168.100, with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and a gateway of 192.168.168.1). The NAS won't be able to reach the internet (which also means that it won't be able to sync its time with the Netgear time servers). Then you should be able to access the NAS in finder using its IP address.
