Can't log into RN21400

Can't log into RN21400

This morning I noticed that I hadn't received the normal overnight backup success emails so I attempted to log into my RN21400. I get the "Connecting to the ReadyNAS Admin Page" screen after some delay and then the HTTP password prompt but after entering it, the connecting screen returns and then the password prompt opens again. There's no other error message or feedback...

 

What should I do next?

Have you tried rebooting the NAS?

 

If that doesn't help, you could see if RAIDar can get the log zip file.

It's perhaps a silly question but how do I reboot it when I can't access the web UI? I'm not sure I've ever used the buttons to reboot it!

Not silly at all.  There is an explanation in the hardware manual (see page 58).

As stated, try the preferred shutdown (best not to do a forced shutdown, as it can create more issues).
