ERR: Used disks
Hello,
I have a ReadyNAS 316 with UPS. I got a long blackout where the UPS battery depleted. Even it was configured on the NAS to turn off if the UPS battery almost run down, it won't happened.
After the blackout I turned on the NAS it started to resync, then we got another blackout where the UPS was still out of battery. After that when I turned on the NAS I got 'ERR: Used disks Check RAIDar' message. Before Factory Reset, is there any way to get back the data on the disks?
Thanks,
László

If you are the original purchaser, and purchased between June 1, 2014 and May 31, 2016 then you have free chat/email support.
I suggest using it in this case.

Even if purchase was outside that period and the purchase was over 90 days ago you could call up and purchase support.
It's possible it could turn into a data recovery situation in which case a data recovery contract would be required regardless of the support status.Doing a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) and restoring from backup (after all if your data is important then you shouldn't store it on just the one device) is a last resort and you should exhaust all other options before considering that.

Hi trdset,
Welcome to the community!
Considering the fact that the data is currently offline or inaccessible, the data recovery service doesn't assure or guarantee its success. Also, the said service will cost you money.
Kind regards,
