Only Displaying AVI files?

I have just purchased a new NV+ and managed to get all the drives up and running.

I have Updated to latest firmware and also updated the ReadyDLNA to the latest on the web (v1.0.24.3)

I got the box primarily to stream Movies that I either download or RIP from my own DVD's/BlueRays, but after spending 2 days RIPing DVD's I have found that my box only displays 8 Movies out of the 126 that are in the folder? I can play the Movies OK from the HDD to a computer, but the TV is only seeing the AVI files that I downloaded.

I Can play all the other files from another set of drives (Lacie) but not from the ReadyNAS.????????

Any Ideas??

James

  • Does your TV support the other file types via DLNA? Sometimes more types are supported via USB than DLNA.
  • Yes, it's a Samsung 6580 Series, well it may not be a issue with the readynas, but it just seems weird, if I connect a USB drive directly to the TV I can see and view all file formats, but not over DLNA, so it might be that the TV won't stream anything other than AVI, not a big problem as I have found that I can convert my MKV files to AVI, which seems to work.
