[REQ] Help co nnecting Smart Wifi Router R6300v2 to USB Modem for connection
Okay so I know it can be done, but my hangup is I only have internet from a hotspot (Alcatel LinkZone2) but in order to set up the R6300v2 I believe it first wants a physical connection and not one "bridged" (so-to-speak) from a usb modem, and I have no way of being able to log into the routers control panel to enable usb mode.
So how can I accomplish this step anyone?

There isn't a usb mode for the R6300v2. It's USB port is for printers/storage and doesn't accept a WAN connection from it.

FYI, you posted this in the wrong forum area (ReadyNAS storage, not routers). A mod will hopefully move it.

dorkydicken: While there is no way to use usb for this, you could put the R6300 into "bridge" mode, and then have it connect wirelessly to your hotspot. That potentially inceases the wifi range and allows use of ethernet-connected devices. The hotspot would be functioning as the router, so the number of devices you can connect would be limited by the hotspot.
