RNDP4000 Problem with FTP Directory Listing

Hello everyone,

I log in with my FTP client (in this case FileZilla) and everything goes through but it never lists the directory. User name and passwords correct. Port forwarded to RNDP4000 correct. Shares have myself and my group both assigned with read/write permissions. When trying to FTP in from either outside or a computer right next to the box I get the following:

Status: Resolving address of XXXXXXX.dyndns.org

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Are you also forwarding the passive ports in your router? The NAS is advertising port 60033 in your log "Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (74,102,103,93,234,129)"

Also, your masquerade address (set in the NAS) is the same as your public IP address (which is the 74.x.x.x. address in your post). For some routers, you need to connect using the local IP address (often 192.168.x.x) when on the local LAN. If your router happens to require that, you need to set the masquerade to the local IP address. With FileZilla, setting the masquerade that way still lets you connect over internet.
  • Yup that was it. Never realized my old IP was listed under "Services" and then "Standard File Protocols"

    Thanks for your help!!!!
