Radiator 5.3.5 - Root folders
I have a ReadyNAS Duo V2 and I am running Radiator 5.3.5.
I can create and delete Shares using the Admin login but when I delete the share the root folder remains.
The current online Software manual says to goto "configure > Browse" but I cant see this in 5.3.5.
How do I delete these root folders ?
Thanks
SB

- HERBIEOAspirantWhen you first login to the Dashboard the configure button is at the top left hand side, click on that and it will take you into frontview then click the shares tab at the top, from there you can add remove and manage your shares.
- SJB66AspirantI can add, remove & manage shares.
The problem is if I create a share, and then delete it, the folder is still there when I browse to the NAS on a windows network.
I would like to be able to delet these folders once the share has been deleted. - HERBIEOAspirantStrange maybe you should update to the latest firmware RAIDiator 5.3.5 http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ReadyNAS/RAIDiator-arm-5.3.5
- SJB66AspirantSorry
My mistake, I am running 5.3.5. - HERBIEOAspirantHave you tried refeshing network on windows or rebooting to see if its still there after.
- SJB66AspirantViewed on two different PC's and one of the folders is still there after rebooting following the upgrade to 5.3.5.
Is there an easy way to log onto the root (C:) drive as admin ? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredTry logging into CIFS as "admin" (see http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/share/how_do_i_connect_to_the_readynas_as_admin). If it doesn't work try changing the admin password then try connecting via CIFS again.
- SJB66AspirantCouldn't log in like this at the first attempt.
Reset the admin password and then got in.
No sign of the folders in C: when browsing in the cmd window.
Purged "my Network Places" on the windows PC's and rebooted.
All fine now.
Thanks for your help.
