ReadyNAS Duo V1 Capacity max.
I note from the original HDD compatibility listing, that my current unit will accept 1.5TB units. As the model reccomended is no longer available could you please advise current approved drives, greater than the two 750 GB HDD insitu. Your advice much appreciated

- 2treesAspirantThank you so much, go to the top of the class, what a service.
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThis is a community forum, not netgear support. mdgm (who is not netgear) told you how to find the duo v1 disk compatibility list (link is here btw: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20686/)
- 2treesAspirantSorry Stephen, I did thank mdgm, I did very much appreciate his input, I did not for one moment think he was a Netgear employee. From his most informative response I was able to glean the information I required. Therefore I am at a loss to understand the tone of your input.
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI thought the reply was sarcastic - glad to hear that it wasn't. It's sometimes hard to get the "tone" of postings correctly.
I apologize for the off-target response I made. - 2treesAspirantAccepted
- 2treesAspirantFurther to previous, as my volumes were showing 96% of 693GB full, purchased 2x 2TB compatible Seagate discs, from the list kindly recommended. Replaced #2 on Sat.30th.,midday,disc 2 LED has continuously blinked since then and still is.RAIDAIR is showing yellow blinking buttons. Have not powered down at all. I appreciate it would take some time, but is this normal (45hrs.)
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserCan you log in via frontview? What status does it give you? (hover over the icons at the bottom left of the home page, also check the logs).
- 2treesAspirantFRONTVIEW Status- Volume - Vol C RAID Level X not redundant.A disk failure will render the volume dead. 668GB (96%) of 698GB used.
Disk - Channel 1 Seagate ST 3750528AS 698GB.
Channel 2 UNKNOWN 698GB Dead
Fan - 1666rpm.
For the record the Channel 2 Disk is a Seagate ST2000DM001 2TB.
Trust this info. is as requested. Rgds. - 2treesAspirantHaving seen the "dead" comments, decided to replug disc 2. Following your instructions and noticing that the #2 LED was very rapidly indicating the following is Logs after one hour.
VolC raid Level X Resync. 668GB (96%) OF 698GB used
Channel2 ST2000DM 001-1CH 164:1862GB Resync 9% comp.
Hope this means it was a bad install from me and we are out of the woods. If so much appreciate your valued input.Thank you.
