ReadyNas 104 Volume in read only mode

Netgear ReadyNas 104 (RN104) has told me in the logs it is has gone read only.

disks seem fine but firmware was updated to 6.9.4 yesterday. is this the cause?

if it is the firmware how do i roll back?

    Before you try rolling back, you should download the log zip file and look for clues on why it is in read-only mode.

     

    Usually that means that the RAID is ok, but there is something wrong with the file system.  If that's the case, then the safest thing to do is back up the data, do a factory default, rebuild the NAS and reload the data from backup.
