You can easily downgrade back to 6.10.6 if you want to. No need to worry about that now.
Testing the disks makes sense as a next step - either putting them in another OS 6 NAS if you have one, or connecting them to a PC and using vendor tools.
As Sandshark says, we haven't ruled out the power supply as the problem.
