I hoped to solve the issue editing the SSHD file in the default folder.
It worked fine after reboot.
Until the NAS completely stuck and I had to pull the power cord to restart it.
That is when I lost SSH configuration AGAIN....
HELP!

Using the guide I mentioned in the first post, I also edited the file in : /etc/default/config/etc/ssh/sshd_config
And it worked just until I pulled the cord.
Then the parameters went belly up again and I lost SSH.
Any help is appreciated here

# cp /lib/systemd/system/ssh.service /etc/systemd/system/
Then modify /etc/systemd/system/ssh.service to point to your customized sshd_config file (eg. /etc/sshd/sshd_config.custom). So, your ExecStart line should end up looking something like this:
ExecStart=/usr/sbin/sshd -D -f /etc/ssh/sshd_config.custom
