Selective Access
Hi,
This has been going for a few days, in the past it's been caused by a Windows 10 update, and rectified a few days later.
I've tried looking through the posts but so far none have had a similar problem (that I've found).
I've tried rebooting all computers, the NAS, router, and all devices that connect to it.
The problem:
I can't access the ReadyNas through Windows 10 (though it shows under Storage and Media Devices)
ReadyCloud iOS app (it says connected, opens folders, but can't load anything within)
ReadyCloud browser (signs in, lists device, but no folders open)
Device webpage (192.168.0.3 in my case, says it's offline after entering the username/password and taking about a minute for the bar to fill across)
However:
Samsung TV's in the house can watch films
iOS app, PlayerXtreme can stream films, load photo's to view.
It's using 6.6.0 and Win10 is on auto update.
Thanks for any help.
Craig

Hello W55CMB,
I have few questions to ask, please see them below:
- What exactly happens when you type \\ followed by the IP address of the NAS in the address bar of Windows explorer? (Ex. \\192.168.3.5)
- Using your computer, what happens when you type http:// followed by the IP address of the NAS in the address bar of a web browser?
- Using your smart phone, what happens when you do the above?
Welcome to the community!

Hi, thanks for taking time to reply.
Both iPhone/iPad and computers give the same results.

It opens the username/password entry, which I enter, and then it goes to this:
which takes around 60 seconds to fill the bar, followed by:
but it's definitely on, and not doing any backups, snapshots are off.
Further, the discs spin up when I access from PlayerXtreme. But don't when I want to open the admin page.

Hello W55CMB,
Accessing it using \\ followed by NAS IP should be using Windows explorer, this is the same window when you open Documents. Not Internet Explorer or any web browser. It should bring up the shares of the NAS to allow you to get to the files.
