sensible-editor: select-editor: not found
I have just installed my new 212 unit.
After exiting crontab -e I get this:
"/usr/bin/sensible-editor: 22: /usr/bin/sensible-editor: select-editor: not found"
The contents of crontab save OK and the script is OK at /usr/bin/sensible-editor
How can I stop this happening please?

Hey,
The /usr/bin/sensible-editor script specifies what editor and visual environment to launch per default. It uses the program "select-editor", but that program is not installed on the NAS it seems. Probably because there is no need to since "vi" is the only editor on the NAS - out of the box.
The error does not matter. It will only occur when editing a program but not specifying the editor to use (such as crontab -e). If you for example did vi /etc/crontab then the error should not occur as you specify the editor to use.
You can always install the select-editor program to "fix" the error you see, but there is no need to.

Thanks for your reply Hopchen
This didn't this happen on my other units. Annoying. I'll try some settings for the default editor.
Thanks
