ReadyNAS2100(two HDD dead no. 3 and 4.)

I have problem when 1 replace two HDD nombor 3 and 4 with new HDD 1TB.. NAS already 500G. so when i replace 500G(dead) and using 1TB HDD, the NAS not detected HDD 1TB..  so the new HDD 1TB cannot support ReadyNAS2100.? or what the problem actualy.?
#nas using RAID 5..

    Which firmware are you running?

        4.2.9 is very old firmware which is over 6 years old now.

         

        Did you replace one disk at a time, wait for sync to complete before replacing the next disk?

        I recall there being a software issue that could lead to disks 3 and 4 dropping out of the array on some very old firmware versions (I can't remember which ones). If you replaced one disk at a time and waited for the sync to complete it sounds like this may be what you have run into.

         

        Do you have a backup?
