REPLACE DIED DISK

Hello my readynas 516 with 6 4Tb hd has started to report problems on disk n 6.
I acquired a new WD4003ffbx and placed it in slot 6. However, the data synchronization does not start. The readynas recognizes the inserted disc indicating the model and serial number. I tried to format it but the sync doesn't start anyway. What could be the problem?

the FIRMWARE IS 6.10.4 hotfix 1.

It sounds strange but the new disk was damaged. Fixed by inserting another new disk
