Using a CA SSL Certificate (from NameCheap) to enable SSL VPN
I am trying to enable SSL VPN on FVS336G. I have taken the trouble to obtain a certificate, and I have registered a corresponding domain that resolves to the static IP address of my router.
I uploaded the certificate as a trusted certificate, that is where I hit the first concern. When I access the router via the domain name (from outside the network), I still get the message that it does not have a valid certificate. The two messages are:
Not issued by a trusted authority (OU-PositveSSL)
issued for a different website's address (even though dns entry at godaddy for this domain is consistent with the static ip address), and I am accessing via the registered domain name.
Let me start here, because I don't imagine I will get anywhere with SSL VPN until I get past this certificate issue.
How do I get a valid certificate to be recognized?

Hello macounwr,
Can I get some information on your setup? I have listed my questions below:
1. Firmware version.
2. Certificate name/version/manufacturer.
3. Browser(s) used.
I'll look forward to your response.
Thanks,

Firmware 3.0.7-24
Here's a screenshot of my installed certificate:

Using IE on Windows 7. Reason I am pursuing this is I have a user who has upgraded (?) to Windows 10, and his IPSEC client no longer works.
Thanks for any help.

Hello macounwr,
It is either you have a version 1 hardware of the FVS336G or the firmware you are using is way behind. The certificate you uploaded looks good to me, remove the VPN configuration and run it using the instructions on this link.
Hope this one helps, if you have more questions feel free to ask.
Thanks,
