A6210 WiFi router won't connect to USB3.0 port (Windows 7)

My A6210 won't connect to either of my USB3.0 ports. It works fine on USB2.0 but, adding insult to injury, I get nagged with "This device can perform faster. This NETGEAR A6210 WiFi USB3.0 Adapter can transfer information faster if you connect it to a Super-Speed USB 3.0 port" every time I start the PC.

There are no error messages, and nothing happens when I plug it into a USB3.0 port. It seems that it does not trigger a connect event.

I have tried updating & reinstalling the USB and Netgear drivers.

Thanks in advance!

Did you install the drive from the cd

Here is the manual link http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/A6210/A6210_UM_5Aug2014.pdf

Starting page 5 show to set up the usb adaptor.

Thanks, Wiliam.

I'm sure I did install from the CD, but I've also updated the Netgear software since then. Are you advising me to revert to older software?

BTW:  it's a WiFi USB adapter -- not a router.

Sorry, everybody.

No I would go with the latest driver.
