Need way more to go off and not sure if netgear is the appropriate place to ask this. You'd need to look up your dish receiver and compatible adapters on their website. you're posting didn't list which receiver or if you'd tried. If you can't find the info you can always go with a ethernet wifi adapter OR powerline adapter to give you a connection without worrying about compatibility.

The A6100 is a USB device that allows Windows PCs to connect to the wifi.
Check the "System Requirements" in the Data Sheet.
