WG311T Installed on Windows XP
Yes the PCI adapter is available in device manager and works correctly according to it. The troubleshooting button does not work, it is pointing to Window XP Home edition which does not work.
The Netgear Smart wizard is running and the adapter is visible there as well. The security is WPA-PSK [AES]. When applying the code it is Scanning without any connection to any channel and does not detect any signal.
The laptop on which I am writing this on is connected to the same wireless network without any problem.
Below you found the previous conversation, which I had no possibly to evaluate since the PC was disconnected.

After done a number of 67 updates on my XP the wireless adapter can not connect, not even will the Wizzard starting up. I have taken the latest version of SW from your page. I have tried to use HW detection of XP without any success. The instruction on https://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/18586#?cid=wmt_netgear_organic does not help. It worked well before I did the security updates of XP.

Hi eraahad,
Can you still detect the adapter under the device manager? If not, you might need to unplug and replug the adapter. Try disabling firewall or antivirus while installing the adapter.

Hi eraahad,
Try changing the security to WEP as the device may not support the WPA.

Re: WG311T Installed on Windows XP
Interesting statement, "the device may not support the W2PA", do you have any specifications of your products?
It worked before I did the 67 updates of XP.

The CH7486E Wireless Voice Gateway does not support any versions of encryption. Do you have any other idea?

Re: WG311T Installed on Windows XP
Hi eraahad,
Try connecting it on a different wireless network and check if the same. Check with windows as well for any compatibility issues with security.

Re: WG311T Installed on Windows XP
This is a desktop, not easy running around with. Don't you have a testbed on XP and the WG311T installed?
