Adding second WiFi extender
Looking for advice on extending my current home WIFI
My current configuration has
- Nighthawk X6 AC3000 tri-band Model R8000
- Nighthawk X6SAC3000 tri-band Model EX8000
The Router is in my home office and the Extender is in a detached building near the garage and connectivity via the extender is excellent.
I want to install another extender on the upper floor of the house to improve connectivity in one room. I want to share the same SSID name as I have with the current configuration.
Question – Besides the Nighthawk X6S are there other NetGear extenders that offer sharing the same SSID?
I prefer not to buy another X6S because of the footprint size. Ideally I would like a wall outlet extender that has the same functionality as the X6S in the 5GHz range,
Is this possible?
Thanks
Al
