Does not show the 5g or 2g light

Trying to get my range extender to receive 5G or 2g. Even with the ethernet cable connected directly to the router. I have an EX7000 extender.

Those LEDS indicate the status of the EX7000->router wifi connection.  They won't be lit if you are using the extender in AP mode (connected to the router via ethernet) - because there is no wifi connection to the router in that configuration.
