Hi. I'm a newb here so please could someone direct me to the best place to ask this question if this isn't it?
So I bought a EX7700 – AC2200 Nighthawk X6 Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Extender recently to try to extend my Wifi throughout my house. I have it setup (with good signal) in one area of my house, with an ethernet cable connecting from the extender to my desktop.
The problem is that the connection is intermittently dropped occassionally. It's difficult to say when or why this happens, but the router itself is fine (I'm able to connect wirelessly to it using my phone for example). The generic windows net troubleshooter can't diagnose the problem. A computer reboot always solves the problem, which leads me to believe it's something to do with my computer rather than the extender or router.
I also had similar problems several years ago, when I was using another Netgear Wifi extender. I couldn't find a solution then, I just had to move my computer!
