Extender not connecting to the internet

I can see the extender that is visible on my network and when I login and connect to it, my device will not connect to the internet via my wireless Linksys AC1900 dual band Wi-Fi router

I have a similar problem with my nighthawk AC1900.
its all set up, the wps light is green, but it wont connect to the internet.

  Have you tried setting up your EX7000 via web browser (not wps)? Please see page 15 of 76 and set up as extender: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EX7000/EX7000_UM_21dec2014.pdf
