Is the EX2700 N300 range extender compatible with the Nighthawk X6 AC3200 R8000?

Howdy folks.  Hoping someone may be able to confirm if the N300  EX2700 Range Extender is compatible with the Nighthawk X6 AC3200 R8000.  I've spent several hours attempting to get the N300 Range Extender to connect to the Nighthawk Router and I cannot get it to connect.  I feel as if I've tried everything (at least three times), and still to no avail.   If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated.

thank you,

SK2

Yes it should work have you done a factory reset on the extender by holding the reset button for 10+ seconds? Have you tried both WPS method and manual connect of the extender? also you may want to try and change the wireless channel on your router. Last thing is make sure your router is using WPA2 on your 2.4ghz network.

Hello DarrenM, thank you very much for your response.  I did perform the factory reset on the extender (multiple times),  just like you mentioned by holding down the reset button.  I did also attempt to connect using WPS (tried multiple times), tried varying distances to the router from 30 feet to 3 feet.   I did validate that I'm using WPA on 2.4Ghz, and I did also adjust the channel from Auto to various attempts using alternate channels.    Still no luck.   I do have another Netgear R6300v2 in bridge mode connected to one of the 5Ghz radios on the Nighthawk X6, would you know if having the bridge setup on the 5Ghz radio would prevent an extender from connecting to the 2.4Ghz radio?

Have you tried to unplug that bridge then try to set up the extender then plug that bridge back in?
