Nighthawk RAX54v2

Hi!
I have a modem and nighthawk router that was connected. Had to unplug for months. Couldn’t get it to reconnect so stated completely over. I have rebooted the modem and the nighthawk. Problem is that it says to join nighthawk73 but only nighthawk73 5g is listed and no passwords work for it. How do I reconnect? I am so frustrated!

Re: Nighthawk RAX54v2

You factory reset it?
If so, the wifi password should be on the device.

Are you using the app for setup or logging in and using the GUI for setup?

Using the app. Can’t get to the admin page to log into admin and password. Only have the 5g account that shows up.
Also tried the 30/30/30 factory reset and it won’t reset. Do I just need to buy a new one?

Re: Nighthawk RAX54v2

no. Just hardwire a pc/laptop/tablet into the router and log into to access it

Or look at the label. The ssid password should be the same for 2.4 and 5ghz

Re: Nighthawk RAX54v2

Hello,

Check the Label
Look for a label on your router, typically located on the bottom or back of the device. It should contain the default SSID (network name) and password for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, along with the admin login credentials.

Access the Router's Admin Interface

Hardwired Connection: Connect a PC, laptop, or tablet directly to the router using an Ethernet cable.
Open a web browser and navigate to the router's admin page, typically at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
Use the default admin username and password from the label or the router's manual to log in.
Factory Reset Issues

30/30/30 Method: If this hasn't worked, ensure you're pressing the reset button correctly:
Hold the reset button for 30 seconds while the router is powered on.
Keep holding while unplugging the router for another 30 seconds.
Reconnect the power while holding for an additional 30 seconds.
If this fails, try a 10-second reset (varies by model).
Using the App
Ensure you're using the correct app for your router brand and that it is updated to the latest version. If the app isn’t working, accessing the GUI (web admin page) directly is a reliable alternative.

Replace as Last Resort
If the router remains unresponsive to resets and you can't access the admin page, it might be faulty. In this case:

Contact the manufacturer's support for further assistance.
