I need an extender to get wifi to my garage for blink camera. The AX1600 extender i bought says I need a firmware update. But I can't connect to server thru the app. Used the advice on how to find the WPS button. It tried n would get half way they in 30 seconds. They said "failed to connect in 2 min", so it timed me out! Any suggestions or should I try a different extender...or is my 6400 outdated.

Use the installation assistant and log in through the browser to update it. 

Factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.

To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
