Unable to Register Product - Already Registered (Product bought from Amazon Warehouse)

I saw a similar post to this from a few years ago - I have the same problem : I've bought an EX8000 from Amazon Warehouse and have set it up and all is good - the problem is whoever bought it and returned it also registered the product before returning it.

How can I, the real owner, register this under my name?

For product registration inquiries, please contact our Customer Care at customer.service@netgear.com and provide the email address you prefer the device to be registered to, the serial number, and proof of purchase.
