WNDAP350 Poor firmware/info update !
Netgear has released the FIRST since more one year (!!) update of the WNDAP350 firmware. 😉
Here is the fix/features :
New Features
* Fixed FD leak issue when clients are connected and disconnected frequently.
* Fixed SNMP hand issue while running the device for long time.
Hey Netgear it's a joke ?? You have found only that to fix ?? There are lot of bug to fix asap. And how can you post this very very very POOR information about update ? :mad:I can not understand how Netgear team work...
And release/info file are always like that with ALL Netgear's product.
Only ReadyNAS file info firmware are greats.
Ok we have updated all our APs and all work correctly. But all BUGS we have found and transmit to Netgear since ONE year now are always present !!
Don't believe it !!!!
Hey Netgear, PLEASE do your job SERIOUSLY . Thanks,

Re: WNDAP350 Poor firmware/info update !
I quite agree with your opinion..
I think the WNDAP350 has lots of BUG and very unstable util now..
Netgear have to fix a bugs and issue then release new firmware more quickly.

Re: WNDAP350 Poor firmware/info update !
yes, i don't understand how Netgear can release a new firmware as bad as it. Bugs are still there guys ! Maybe Netgear does not listen to its customers ?
The WNDAP350 is a good product, reliable, powerful and with lot of enterprise features but we are fed up that netgear does not his job properly.
With a good firmware this product could be perfect !
Wake up Netgear

Re: WNDAP350 Poor firmware/info update !
My WNDAP350 keeps cutting the network traffic using 2.0.9 if the 5Ghz radio is on auto channel/DFS.
It seems like the DFS process is hanging after a while.

don't use auto; use inssider software to help you to choose the correct channel ! 😉

Of course, but since i updated the firmware and applied the factory default, they were set to Auto.. and after I configured the WPA-PSK the AP quit responding on me after a short while.
After connecting to the serial port i discovered that the DFS-service was hanging. solved it by not using auto on the 5ghz radio.
Anyways.. You should be able to use "Auto" if you want to.. So Netgear has one extra bug to take care of.
And my throughput has been much worse after updating to 2.0.9 using the same channels/power and location.
Does any1 know where I can find 2.0.1??

Not for us. Throughput is the same with 2.0.1 and 2.0.9 (very good 12mo/s)

I've never seen this release anywhere.

Re: WNDAP350 Poor firmware/info update !
I can confirm that after the update, the 5 Ghz radio performance is quite a bit worse. In fact it's so bad, I can no longer use it in my environment. From my primary laptop location, connectivity dropped from consistently >200Mbps to an average of 24Mbps.

What is your throughput ?
Here we have between 8mo/s and 13mo/s for the 5ghz radio
For the 2,4ghz radio we have between 7mo/s and 11mo/s
I think this throughput is very good and i did not notice anything wrong concerning rate since we have upgraded the firmware.
Hope you can solved your issue. 😉

Re: WNDAP350 Poor firmware/info update !
Before I had about 6-8MB/sec when transferring files.. Now with the same settings and locations I get 0.5-2MB/sec.
Regarding the 2.0.1 firmware(original in my AP at least)..
I want to know where I can find it.. I'm not happy with 2.0.9 and want to revert back.

Re: WNDAP350 Poor firmware/info update !
Can you send me the 2.0.1 firmware also?
btw - the problem I am having is that the '5GHz Band 11na' will allow clients to join but it just stops routing packets it seems. In other words I am connected fine to the wireless AP but its like the other side of the connection (to the rest of the network is down). However if I switch over to the 2.5HGz band all is fine. Are others seeing the same problem?

If the 2.01 firmware is still available, can you send it to me.
our wireless was perfectly stable until we upgraded the firmware. I have tried all 3 firmware version available for download on netgears site and they all have problems. I just want it to be stable again
Thanks

Re: WNDAP350 Poor firmware/info update !
I just bought one and it's disappointing that it drops packets. Wish there was a fix for the poor erratic behavior.

Re: WNDAP350 Poor firmware/info update !
I have tried all 3 the only one that works good enough to use the access point is WNDAP350_V2.0.9. It's still not perfect but usable.
