WiFi extender as access point
This device was originally set up as extender to blu-ray player. I would now like to configure it as access point so to move desktop away from Comcast router. The only thing I can find on the router for identification is "Dual Band WiFi 802.11ac XB3". Before going in depth I'd like to establish that what I'm trying to do is possible. Can I do this?
desktop PC <-cat5-> WN3000RPv3 <-wifi-> Comcast router <-cat5-> Internet
I did not configure the device, SIL did that, but I believe I have successfully reset to factory default via hidden pushbutton on the underside.

Re: WiFi extender as access point
Hello dougp24,
Please refer to page 15 of the manual. To use the extender in access point mode, the extender would need to be wired to the router.

Re: WiFi extender as access point
Looks like it cannot be used for my purpose, then. Thank you.
