I know nothing, but a Web search for keywords like, say:
      netgear firmware change region
may find some things.

Re: How to change country in the setup wizard

You might try bypassing the wizard. (See page 26 in the manual.)

>>> D7000 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<

At the bottom of that page it explains how to set the country.

Search the manual for country and you will find other advice.

It may be that you still don't see Egypt In that case you might not need to tell the device where you are. If you feed it the details of your internet service, you can handle the "time zone" separately.

   Which "the manual"?

> At the bottom of that page it explains how to set the country.

Page 25 of the User Manual shows a picture of a grayed-out "USA"
setting, which agrees with the original complaint.

I know nothing, but I'd guess that the DSL Country setting determines
the list offered under "Select Internet Service Provider", which, I
assume, guides the selection of various DSL-related parameters.  If you
set the DSL parameters explicitly, then this may not matter.  However,
I'd expect a similar problem in the BASIC > Wireless: Region Selection
section, which might be more important.

   Which "the manual"?

The one at the end of the link I provided, and the one that you seem to have read.

   I know nothing...

Indeed, so here is a direct link to the manual:

I am happy to answer any questions that Mohabdal may have.

That link led me to four documents, two of which were described as
"Manual".  I simply thought that an actual title would be more helpful
than "the manual".  Others may disagree.

If the grayed-out Country/Region menus which offer only choices like
USA or North America are the problem here, then I'd (again) suggest that
Web search, which led me to discussions like:

      https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/td-p/507639

I'm not in a position right now to test a "burnsku" command on a
D7000, so, for now, I can only point to such discussions, without making
any recommendations.

If you're looking for a Netgear Telnet Enable program, I like the one
which I've modified: http://antinode.info/nte

Re: How to change country in the setup wizard

You said you are using the wizard.

Netgear designs this for people who don't know about setting up new equipment, and who probably live somewhere where Netgear has plenty of buyers.

I suggested that you tell the wizard to go away. When it comes up, say that you do not want it to help you to set up the system.

Did you try that? If so what happened?

Some of us want to help you, but you need to do a bit more than repeat your complaint.

Remember, most of us don't work for Netgear. We are just people who use the same equipment. We just want to help people based on our own experience and  things that we have seen here.

I apologise if you are getting confused by messages that don't suggest ideas that you can try. There is nothing that I can do about that.
