6.7.5
4 TopicsReadyNAS "Admin Page" is offline
Upgraded to firmware 6.7.5 through the web interface and now the unit is not responing via the browser at all. SMB share is still working Tried Rebooting Tried Reset via reset pin on back and selecting OS Reinstall - same issue Raidar Diagnostic will not connect, but raidar says unit is healthy ! I cannot download the logs because login is not working, I know the password before someone suggests password recovery. Looking at USB recovery but cannot get the tool to recognise any firmware to make a usb for me. Format USB to Fat32 and put these in root Reboot machine and hold backup for 30 seconds. Machine says booting from usb, then after a few minutes, resets and does FW Upgrade. But the firmware is still 6.7.5 ?? How to do it? What am I doing wrong? I know the issue is network adapter related because "\\192.168.1.101\folder" is working fine, but "\\192.168.1.147\folder" comes up with network error do i want to diagnose? If I factory reset it with different disks in it, can I the set it to x-raid and put back the original disks without losing data? Will factory reset put the original firmware back in or will it use 6.7.5 ? I really want to get this working again :( Many thanks for any help6.3KViews0likes26CommentsRN104 Freeze with "ext4_writepage+478" error
Hi All, So yesterday I got home to find my RN104 had frozen, with the error "ext4_writepage+478" displayed on the front. It would respond to pings on the network, but all other access was unresponive (GUI, SSH etc). The only option was to pull the plug. On restarting, it is now re-syncing data to Drive 3, which is going to take a while given I have 4 x4TB (10TB Net) drives in the box. The drives are all WD Red's and less than a year old so am relatively sure it wouldnt be a true drive fault - no SATA errors are reported. Only recent change was upgrade to firmware 6.7.5 on June 28th. Anyone else experienced this? I have captured the logs ready for any passing experts ;-) CHeers, Nick5.6KViews0likes20CommentsRN102 Admin page & SMB/AFP shares offline
I recently upgraded the system to firmware 6.7.5 from 6.7.2 I've been having lots of problems since V6.7.x with Readycloud access so decided to disconnect the device from ReadyCloud & re-Discover it & set it up again (expecting to retain all data & AFP/SMB shares) The Admin page refuses to show & is always reported as "offline" whether I try from inside ReadyCloud page or direct from a PC or iPad browser. Sometimes it even says I am not on the same network ! I have seen a moderator say in reply to another post that 1GB RAM is now not really enough. My system has only 512MB. Questions are :- 1/ how to get to the Admin Page 2/ can the RAM be increased ? Hoping someone can help !! Thanks in advance.3.2KViews0likes4CommentsReadyNas 104 - Scrub 12h in and still active but nothing accessible (6.7.5)
Anyone else has, or had, an issue where scrub would be active but no shares or admin page are accessible? Basically, scrub started 12h ago one one partition and it is now at about 28% (real slow at this rythm it will take another ~42H to finish!). Suddently the shares all died and can't access admin page. What I am left with: > The display show network connected and continue to trickle the Scrub %. > Raidar claim the box is Healthy? But if I try to download logs or diagnostics, I get 'Not a valid user or Password'. I know those are good. > Admin page return 'This page can't be reached. x.x.x.x refused to connect' > All shares are down. > Mediaserver is down. Any suggestion? How safe it is to hard restart the box while scrubbing is on? Regards,2.9KViews0likes3Comments
