Hello, My Nighthawk AC1900 R6900 router seems to have become unregistered from my account. Until now I've been using the Genie app to login remotely but now the device does not appear in my list. The router was purchased at Costco brand new. I initially registered it March 18, 2016 and I still have the confirmation email. When I attempt to register the device again on my account I receive the following message "Serial number has already been registered." I would appreciate your help. Thank you.1.4KViews0likes2CommentsWin a Nighthawk Switch – AmA about Multi-Gig Ethernet!

Moving to a new office. I will have several Cat7 drops. The R6300v2 and R7800 listed in this post are the current routers (used as WAPs only) in my old office. Now... I'd like to wire the WAPs and have romers do 802.11k handoff. I called sales ("We don't support it") and looked on the community boards (same info). Yet I know (or at least know the advertising says) that the EX8000 has it. So (a) what units are 802.11K capable, and (b) if the EX8000 is, then can I use it as a basic WAP through one of its RJ45's, and not the dedicated channel? Any knowledgable input appreciated!Solved2.9KViews0likes4CommentsX6S Extender – Question on the "Dedicated 1.7 gbps WiFi Link" and also AP mode?
I really like the FastLane3 concept - it looks like a great way to extend WiFi coverage. I do have two questions... 1. Clarification on the dedicated WiFi link. I see this on the launch page: Nighthawk X6S is the most advanced Tri-band WiFi extender that includes a Dedicated 1.7Gbps WiFi Link for extending internet speeds to your devices. I am guessing that this means that the Band 3 radio is dedicated in the extender. But I think that means that the band itself would only be dedicated if the user also dedicates it in the main router (for instance by giving it a SSID that the wifi clients don't use). Is that the case? 2. Can I use the Band 3 radio for client connections when the X6S is in AP mode? Or can it only used for backhaul?Solved789Views0likes1CommentX6S Extender – Any Benefit with Multiple X6S Range Extenders?
If I were to have multiple X6S Range Extenders installed in a house/building would each seperate X6S talk with eachother to get better speeds? I see that on the product page that it has a dedicated WIFI link connecting to the ISP Gateway/Router. Let's say I had another X6S further in my house that is no where near the ISP Gateway/Router, will the second X6S communicate with the first X6S? It may seem overkill in a small home/business but I would love the highest speed possible for each room/office.Solved1.9KViews1like1CommentAMA - Ask Us Anything About ReadyNAS and You Could Win a ReadyNAS 214!
