AppleTV

I want to connect my Apple TV 4, to a USB hard drive attached to my Orbi. The physical connection is fine but getting the Apple TV to recognise it is another challenge. I had it working brilliantly with my Airport Extreme, however getting the Apple TV apps, FileBrowserTV, VLC or MrMC to work seems impossible. If anyone has found a solution I'd be grateful to hear.SolvedApple TV kills C3700 modem/router network
After connecting the AppleTV to my modem/router, the C3700, via Ethernet cable, the network fails shortly thereafter the modem router combo works flawlessly otherwise. It is only after the direct connection to Apple TV where it fails. Both wifi channels, 2.5 and 5 ghz, are visible. But I cannot connect to either. Firmware on Apple TV is up to date. I believe the modem firmware also up to date. Any suggestions?3.7KViews0likes1CommentNetgear WiFi Cable Modem Router Model C3700 cannot connect to 2nd Generation Apple TV - Cox cable
I have a Model C3700 which will not connect to Apple TV. Using the Netgear firmware, and click on the Wireless tab. I can see all iphones and ipads connected. I do not see the Apple TV. In addition, the Remote application on the iPad does not show Apple TV. In iTunes, I have verified Homesharing is on. When I use the Ethernet cord from C3700 to the Apple TV and look at the Wired tab, I can see the Apple TV. Using my TV and Apple TV Settings, I go to General-Network and connect to the NetGear C3700 WiFi. But when I return to the Menu, I do not see any Apple TV applications, but only my Home Shared computer. So two things, can I connect C3700 wirelessly to Apple TV? If not, how can I see the Apple TV application when I am wired via Ethernet.3.6KViews0likes3Comments
