How to backup to Google Drive, S3 etc using rclone
Hi, Im new to Netgear Community, in response to these two closed community posts: Developer Request: Full Cloud Sync Access via iClone & incond Backing up to your ReadyNAS I can confirm that rclone can (easily) be installed on ReadyNAS and successfully synced with Google Drive. While I havent deployed an official ReadyNAS developer app, and at this stage dont intend to, the setup took me under 10 minutes and can easily be replicated. Tested on ReadyNAS 104 firmware 6.6.1. Installation SSH onto the ReadyNAS Follow the rclone installation quickstart with the following changes: Substitute the AMD64 precompiled binary for ARM32, ie: curl -O https://downloads.rclone.org/rclone-current-linux-arm.zip Dont worry about copying the man file. As of version 6.6.1, ReadyNAS Linux doesn't come with man installed. Also, rclone --help is really thorough. Usage Follow the rclone for Google Drive doc. putta link into the antivirus log entry for the file, to allow ignore, delete, etc).
At present can only ignore scan at directory level this means a single problem file can stop the whole directory being protected i suggezt putting a link into the log entry for the file, to allow the usual options (ignore, delete, etc). So that if you now a file is ok you can stop it being scanned without losing protection for the test of the directory. Especially a problem when a file stops a backup process.

backups from pc failing after upgrade
after installing the upgrade 6.9.0 my backups from my PC no longer work the backups ( 15 of them ) all start and remain in the " in progress" state. in previous version they remained in the " in queue" state until next one could be actioned - now they all go to in progress straight away but dont do anything. on testing the source, I find that it is reporting invalid user name or password. my PC access is not protected by user name or password and in the previous version there was no problem with access of the PC with these fields left blank. the only thing that has changed is the update to 6.9.0. please advise... I have no backups running now since the upgrade to 6.9.0.
