ReadyNAS 2100 via iSCSI connection used as Windows Server 2008 R2 backup on Server A. Daily backups showed successful. Frontview shows 1200 GB (87%) of 1368 GB used. Server A no longer available. Using Windows Backup to restore to another 2008 R2 server - "The specified remote shared does not contain any backup." Viewing the 2100 via UNC or mapped drive only shows a shared folder named backup, No other files or folders are displayed. Any thoughts on how I can proceed?21KViews0likes2Commentsputta link into the antivirus log entry for the file, to allow ignore, delete, etc).
At present can only ignore scan at directory level this means a single problem file can stop the whole directory being protected i suggezt putting a link into the log entry for the file, to allow the usual options (ignore, delete, etc). So that if you now a file is ok you can stop it being scanned without losing protection for the test of the directory. Especially a problem when a file stops a backup process. How can I see the disk from readyNAS in linux?

after installing the upgrade 6.9.0 my backups from my PC no longer work the backups ( 15 of them ) all start and remain in the " in progress" state. in previous version they remained in the " in queue" state until next one could be actioned - now they all go to in progress straight away but dont do anything. on testing the source, I find that it is reporting invalid user name or password. my PC access is not protected by user name or password and in the previous version there was no problem with access of the PC with these fields left blank. the only thing that has changed is the update to 6.9.0. please advise... I have no backups running now since the upgrade to 6.9.0.Solved12KViews1like34CommentsOS reinstall

Hello. I have been able to copy the shared folder but not the snapshots. Can this be done? I will try to explain: I currently rsync data from a windows server to a shared folder on a ReadyNAS 51400. This shared folder has months worth of manual and automatic snapshots. I need to move this shared folder to a new ReadyNAS and would like to keep all the snapshots in case I need to recover something from a snapshot. Both ReadyNAS are running 6.2.2. I have tried to create a backup job to copy the share and its snapshots folder from NAS to NAS but can't get it to work. I tried this some time ago with an earlier version of ReadyNAS OS. However, it filled the NAS. I think it copied more than just the delta's in each snapshot. In other words, it effectively tried to create a clone for every snapshot. Obviously, the NAS did not have capacity to store 10+ clones of the share. Thanks. Ian.12KViews0likes1CommentBacking up to Drop Box for ReadyNAS 104
Hey guys, I've done a search on the forums, google and tried talking to the Netgear support ( which kindly suggested I pay them MORE money for any support.... ) because paying for the product itself wasn't enough ! I've got a ReadyNAS 104 which we bought just recently using the firmware 6.2.2 and was under the impression that it had the ability to back itself up to a dropbox account so I bought a yearly subscription to drop box with enough space. Now the question is How on earth do you backup to the dropbox ? I can see in the portal looking at the NAS it has a backup tab and under cloud storage it has a section about Dropbox which says you can sync only 1 share at a time. But that is it.. There is no details or information about anything. It doesn't let you know if it's actually backing up anything, it doesn't say how many files are getting backed up, it doesn't even let you know if the backup is running ! I can see that my drop box has started putting a few files in the dropbox but it's anyones guess when it's actually backing up, or how old those files are if they are the latest version or one from a week go. Any help would be appreciated.11KViews0likes2CommentsRsync broken since 6.7.1 & 6.7.3
The 3100 only received Notification to upgrade to 6.7.1. Since then backing up using rsync sometimes fails within a minute. The Pro received a notification to upgrade to 6.7.3 - not 6.7.1. Since then all rsync backups fail within a minute. I can not backup /data locally to the USB drives because I can not provide an exclude list this way. Any help please with rsync since 6.7.1 / 6.7.3 ?9.2KViews0likes53Comments
